Conference for graphic designers and visual artists

Creativity, community, and professional development take center stage this November as Holland College, and KKP Charlottetown presents Dotgain, a professional development conference created for graphic designers and visual artists.

Dotgain takes place on November 2, at Florence Simmons Performance Hall located on the Holland College Prince of Wales Campus, Charlottetown.

Attendees will have the chance to meet other talented, award-winning designers, connect with the local and regional graphic design community, hear this year’s keynote speaker Jud Haynes, celebrate Canadian design with their peers as we watch the Design Canada film, enjoy a catered lunch, and participate in workshops and presentations throughout the afternoon.

Jud is an illustrator, screen print artist, and graphic designer creating work for the entertainment industry. He designs album covers, posters, book covers, beer labels, merch and more for Blue Rodeo, Bahamas, Chris Hadfield, Wintersleep, City and Colour, Mary Walsh, Hayden, many music festivals, CBC, Measha Brueggergosman, and PEI’s Upstreet Craft Brewing among others. Known nationwide for his clean illustration style, Jud has carved out a double duty career, one part illustrator and image creator, second part designer, and marketer.

This is an opportunity for local and regional graphic designers to find out more about emerging trends, learn new skills, and join the discussion about our industry’s future. For information visit
