Literary Legacy Series

Macphail Homestead

Saturday, October 13, 2018, 02:00pm

Literary Legacy Series: Tea with Sir Andrew (Macphail), Harry (Baglole) & their Master’s Wife celebrates the literary legacies of Sir Andrew Macphail. The first event in the series is dedicated to the contributions of the late Harry Baglole to the Macphail Homestead. Perhaps no other person has resurrected and promoted Macphail’s great masterpiece, The Master’s Wife, more than Harry Baglole. Harry’s lasting legacies regarding the place of Sir Andrew Macphail in Island—and Canadian—literary culture will be discussed by Dr. John Flood, editor (and publisher) of the book, The Master’s Wife: The Book and the Place (Penumbra Press, 2013). Tea & Harry’s favorite desserts will be served. It takes place October 13 at 2 pm at Macphail Homestead, Orwell.
