Caring for Caregivers Conference

Summerside

Caring for Caregivers, a conference open to all unpaid caregivers of someone with a chronic illness, will take place October 26 at Parkview Seniors Club, 335 Central St, Summerside. Hosted by Heart & Stroke in partnership with Home Instead Senior Care and the Canadian Cancer Society, the conference will provide caregivers with an opportunity to come together with others in similar circumstances in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Keynote speakers, Mark W. Buell, B.B.A., B.Th., M.Div. and Blanche Ward, MSW, RSW will share insights with participants. There is no cost to attend and lunch will be provided. For those who would like to attend but require assistance, Home Instead Senior Care is offering free transportation and reduced rates for respite care (Summerside area only).
