BIA PEI support group

The Brain Injury Association of PEI will hold a support group at 2 pm every second Tuesday in Room 205 at Jack Blanchard Hall, 7 Pond Street, Charlottetown. Upcoming meeting take place: November 21.

 

Art Opening: MRHS Student Art Showcase

Artisans on Main will be hosting the Montague Regional High School Student Art Showcase from November 21 to December 2. The opening reception is open to the public and takes place November 21 from 6–8 pm. Hours are: Tues–Sat from 11 am–5 pm. Artisans on Main is location at 10 Water Street, Montague.

Newcomer Orientation session

The City of Charlottetown will host a Newcomer Orientation session November 22 (5:30–7:30 pm) to welcome and provide information to newcomers about the city and the departments within City Hall including: Human Resources, Police, Fire, Planning, and Parks and Recreation. Canadian Songwriting Competition

The second annual national songwriting competition awards over $40,000 worth of prizes. The contest is open to all songwriters (amateur and professional) who are Canadian citizens or who reside in Canada. Judges include Sam Roberts, Joel Plaskett, Cadence Weapon and Alan Doyle, as well as industry leaders in A&R, booking, festival programming, publishing, and radio. CSC partners with SickKids

CCOA will livestream 2017 Symons Lecture

On November 23 at 12 pm Confederation Centre of the Arts will livestream, in both official languages, The 2017 Symons Medal and Lecture. This year the Symons Medal is awarded to the Prime Minister of Canada, the Right Honourable Justin P.J. Trudeau.

The Symons Medal and Lecture event will also feature a live 30-minute performance of the Centre’s 2017 Young Company production The Dream Catchers.
