The City of Charlottetown’s Heritage staff have created an historic exhibit entitled, On Saints and Welshmen: The Evolution of Post-Secondary Education in Charlottetown, that features photos from the City’s Archives as well as other organizations and private individuals.

The display chronicles the history of the two institutions that came together in 1969 to form the University of Prince Edward Island—Prince of Wales College and Saint Dunstan’s University. The exhibit takes the public back to the early to mid-1800s when the schools were first founded.

The exhibit will run until March 22, in the storefront windows of the Planning and Heritage Department (233 Queen Street, Charlottetown).
