Holland College is providing a leadership training program for not-for-profit organizations.
The first offering will start with in-class sessions on February 22 and 23 at the Bedeque Rural Action Centre. The Leadership Engagement Training Program is designed to provide information about many different aspects of being a board member. The program’s goal is to help current or future board members gain the knowledge they need in order to be successful, not only as individual board members, but as an entire board.
Topics include board composition, leadership fundamentals, fiduciary responsibility, financial literacy, community engagement, human resources fundamentals, communications, conflict resolution and succession planning.
The program runs over three months and starts with a two-day workshop where participants discuss various board topics and interact with expert guest speakers.
