Christmas Daddies Telethon 2017

Christmas Daddies Telethon 2017

On December 2 Christmas Daddies will present their 54th Annual Telethon, airing from 11 am to 6 pm on CTV and online at Bell Aliant Fibe TV1.

The Telethon includes a lineup of PEI artists set to deliver musical performances from the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Throughout the program, viewers can watch performances by singer-songwriter and Music PEI’s reigning Producer of the Year Jon

PEI Humane Society Santa Pix Fundraiser

PEI Humane Society Santa Pix Fundraiser, with professional photos taken by Louise Vessey from Vessey Studio, takes place December 2 and 3 from 12 to 4 pm at Victoria Park Clubhouse, Victoria Park, Charlottetown, near the baseball diamonds. Annual Government House Christmas Open House

Her Honour, Lieutenant Governor Antoinette Perry, invites Islanders and visitors to drop in to Government House for the Annual Christmas Open House on December 4 between the hours of 12 noon and 2 pm and then in the evening from 5:30–7:30 pm. View the Christmas decor while listening to the sounds of seasonal music in the background. Government House is located at 1 Terry Fox Drive, Charlottetown.

This month The Buzz resumes its Guest Book column in which we invite someone from our PEI community to write a short essay on the subject of the cultural life of PEI. We’ve had informative and thought-provoking contributions covering a wide range of perspectives on the subject. We are now compiling a list for 2018. If you would like to suggest someone who would have something to say on the matter

Premiere Toastmasters Club

Drive Thru Living Nativity

The 7th annual Drive Thru Living Nativity will take place at the farm of Chyrs and Doreen Jenkins at 6452 Route 19 in Canoe Cove from December 8–10, 5:30–8:30 pm. Bring your family and friends to see baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, shepherds, kings, angels and live animals along with a choir singing Christmas songs. Community tree lighting in Cape Traverse

The Cape Traverse Ice Boat Committee is hosting a community tree lighting at 6:30 pm on December 13 at The Ice Boat Monument. It will be an evening of community spirit, Christmas carols, hot chocolate, and cookies to welcome the holiday season.

Islanders near and far are invited to make Cape Traverse shine bright by purchasing lights for the tree as a gesture of dedication or in memory. All
