Happy meditation

Happy Meditation: Healing Anger 2 is a free 6-week discussion series held at GEBIS Charlottetown (133 Queen Street, 2nd floor) on Fridays from 6–8 pm from February 22 to March 29.

Topics include feeling calm using meditation skills, getting connected with empathy and compasion, and reacting rationally with Buddhist logic and reasoning.

Sunday life drawing sessions

Sunday life drawing sessions with live nude model are held Sundays from 2–4 pm at the Gertrude Cotton Art Centre, Stratford (57 Bunbury Rd). All skill levels are welcome. Easels are provided but bring your own drawing materials. Age 18+ or parent’s permission. 

Family Sundays

The Confederation Centre Art Gallery is holding Family Sunday events on the last Sunday of the month from 1:30–3 pm. These creative and dynamic activity days run to April 2019. They're free, fun, and bilingual (English and French). All ages are welcome.

Learn to Run

Charlottetown Parks and Recreation Department has launched its 2019 Winter Active Campaign.

A free 10-week Learn to Run program is being offered by the department, in partnership with the UPEI Athletics Department. It will take place on Mondays at 6:30 pm at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre at UPEI (except February 18).

Discussion of parables

St Peter’s Anglican Cathedral is offering a series of four lecture/discussion sessions on some of the parables of Jesus. The sessions will be led by Dr Philip Davis, retired Professor of Religious Studies at UPEI, and will be held at 7 pm on Tuesdays in February.
