Morning Doves Resting (detail) by R. MilnerGallery 18 hosted the first Art in the Carriage House and The Paddock from July 26 to 28 in New London. Participants included Leona Arsenault, Alexis Bulman, Sharon Craig, Ray Doiron, Nan Ferrier, Lise Genova, Carole Gordon, Robert Milner, Linda Shaw Packard, and Morag Weatherston. The event offered visitors a chance to meet the Island artists.

Those who attended were asked to fill out ballots the selection of a Peoples’ Choice work of art. The winner (by a single vote over several others) was a painting entitled “Morning Doves Resting” by Robert Milner.

In September the Gallery will take part in PEI Fall Flavours. Join them in The Carriage House on September 21 for A Taste of the North Shore opening reception hosted by Chef Massimo Capra. The reception features local producers serving fresh shucked oysters, mignonettes, fresh local Gouda, locally-produced black garlic dip and mussel-stuffed mushroom caps. This is a PEI Fall Flavours signature event. Tickets are required. 886-3201
