Panmure Island Pow wow

August 18–19

The 26th Annual Abegweit Pow Wow celebrates life through feasting and dancing to the “Heart Beat of Mother Earth,” represented in the Sacred Drum. Pow Wow ends Sun with a traditional Mi’kmaq Feast open to the public. There is free camping, serviced washrooms and access to a beautiful PEI beach. 6th Annual Fortune Fun Day

August 19

The 6th Annual Fortune Fun Day will be held August 19 from 1–4 pm at Fortune Community Centre, 220 Fortune Wharf Road. All activities are free except for the bbq and beer tent. There will be a canoe/kayak poker run on the scenic Fortune River at 1 pm. Canoes, kayaks and SUP can be rented from Paddles on Fortune River. From 2–4 pm activities take place at the Centre. There will be an inflatable water slide/bouncy house, bbq, snacks, beer tent, crafts and activities for children, and prizes for the poker run. Fortune Community Centre is located at 220 Fortune Wharf Road.

Trilobster Triathlon

Trilobster Triathlon will be held August 19 from 7 am–12 pm starting at Heather Moyse Dr, Summerside Waterfront. It has events for all ages and abilities: Kids of Steel, supersprint, standard races, six world qualifying events, sprint draft legal, standard triathlon, sprint draft legal duathlon, standard duathlon, sprint aquabike and sprint aquathon. 902-626–8360

Art in the Open

A free, all ages, contemporary art festival takes place in the parks and public spaces of Downtown Charlottetown from 4 pm to midnight.

L’Exposition agricole et le Festival acadien

Enjoy a celebration of Acadian cultural, culinary and agricultural traditions. Take in the Acadian Feast with Lobster and other lobster dinners, horse pulling and equestrian competitions, petting farm, parade, contests, dancing, acadian music, more. Location is 1745 Rte 124, Abram-Village.

4th Annual Tomato Fest
