You choose the artist—Chris Corrigan and Jon Rehder will play the music

Baba's Lounge

Chris Corrigan and Jon RehderTune In Next Week takes place with Jon Rehder and Chris Corrigan on Sundays at 7 pm at Baba’s Lounge in Charlottetown.

Each week, after a short intro set culled from their own repertoire, Jon and Chris perform a feature set of tunes by a different specific artist. The feature set is determined the week before by asking audience members to write down on slips of paper the name of the act they’d like to hear and put it in a box. One name is pulled out at random, and Jon and Chris have one week to put together a credible set of the chosen artist’s material. It could be: The Beatles, or U2, or Sheryl Crow, or Radiohead, Elvis, Metallica, etc.

The idea is inspired by working in the house band for the Charlottetown Festival’s weekly Late Night at the Mack cabaret. The band would have to work quickly to prepare 2 sets of music-eclectic, spontaneous, informal.
