Black History Month celebrates diverse Island community

Island wide

Black History Month is an opportunity for Prince Edward Island to celebrate black Islanders from past to present.  

Events and educational activities will be held throughout February in libraries, schools, museums and establishments.

A few upcoming events for Black History Month include: Privilege activity for teens at Startup Zone on February 16 at 2 pm; Bean mosaic

Winter concert ceilidh series

A winter concert-ceilidh series kicked off at Trinity United Church, 90 Spring Street, in Summerside on January 21. The concerts will be held on the third Sunday of each month to May. In the event of a storm, the concert will be held the following Sunday at the same time.
