The Blurs
Julie Affleck

The Blurs - Julie Affleck The Blurs - Julie Affleck The Blurs is a paranormal/adventure novel written by first time novelist Julie Affleck.

Life goes from strange to terrifying when eleven-year-old Gavin Carragher sees things no one else can see, things that move so quickly they are only a blur.

As the story unfolds Gavin tries to figure out what these visions are and what they mean. He knows one thing, there is something dangerous about this special power he possesses. The Blurs torment him and could threaten his life as he knows it. What will happen to him and what about his two best friends who are starting to ask too many questions?

The novel, who’s target audience is 9-12 year olds is set in the fictional small town of Dakota Youth, just outside Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

The Blurs is available at www.amazon.com. An official book launch will also take place at Indigo Bookstore in Charlottetown on July 21 from 2–4 pm.

Julie Affleck is a mother of four, from Charlottetown now living in Mount Stewart. She has a passion for writing, especially for younger readers.
