Summer in North Rustico

North Rustico comes alive with activities through the summer season.

North Rustico Spoons Workshop with local musician and member of the Avonlea Show Band, Brendon Peters, will take place in Seawalk Park three times a week during July and August: Mondays at 1 pm, Wednesdays at 1 pm and Fridays at 11 am until August 3.

Fun in the City’s Greenspace

Every Wednesday from 12–1 pm in Rochford Square, Charlottetown, activities for all ages will be held. In July enjoy yoga, kung-fu, meditation and hiit fitness. Programs are beginner friendly. Games, activity equipment, books and additional seating and blankets are available.

Home Economics Garden Party

Join members of PEI Home Economics Association at 6 pm on July 26 for an evening of socializing in the garden. Applications are now being accepted for 2017-18 PEI Seniors’ Secretariat grants worth up to $5,000 per project, with preference given to intergenerational projects, those that promote positive mental health, elder abuse awareness, or projects that reduce social

Legislative Assembly tours

The Chamber of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, in the Honourable George Coles Building, is now open for visitors from 9 am–12 pm and 1–4 pm, Monday–Friday, until September 1. A Student Intern Visitor Guide is on site during those hours to greet visitors and tell them about the Assembly, with services offered in both French and English.
