The Island Fringe Festival is looking for volunteers of all ages to help out with this year’s festival to be held August 3–7 in Charlotteown. The Fringe depends on the help of their volunteers — even one volunteer shift can make a difference. Volunteer responsibilities include putting up Fringe posters, providing show/festival information at the Fringe Info Booth, and/or distributing programs at the shows. Volunteer perks include a free Island Fringe t-shirt, special invites to Fringe events, and access to theatre.
The Island Fringe Festival is a summer festival celebrating independent art and alternative theatre and performance in downtown Charlottetown. The Island Fringe gives local, Canadian, and international artists the opportunity to create and perform new theatrical works in unconventional venues throughout the city. All Island Fringe shows are admission by donation, after the one-time purchase of a $5 Patrons’ Pin, with 100% of the donations going directly to the artists.
