The Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association (APMA) and the Atlantic Book Awards Society (ABAS) have announced a joint initiative, East Bound: Talking Atlantic Books. This event, to be held May 17 to 19, 2017, will bring Canada’s influential booksellers, journalists and literary festival directors to Halifax to meet with Atlantic Canadian publishers. Guests will attend networking events with publishing staff, publisher presentations and one-on-one meetings with publishers. They will also take part in delivering professional development sessions for publishers and attend the Atlantic Book Awards gala, scheduled for May 18 at Halifax Central Library.
