July 28–30
Crapaud Agriplex and Exhibition Grounds

The 64th Annual Crapaud Exhibition takes place at Crapaud Exhibition Grounds from July 28–30. 

Official Opening on July 28 has Mi’kmaq Drummers, Elder Prayer, Smudge Ceremony and is followed at 7:30 pm by the PEI Has Talent show.

Through the weekend there will be judging of 4-H Entries in domestic science, livestock, small animals, poultry, rabbits, flowers, culinary art, creative art, photography, showmanship. G&G Amusement rides will be set up. 

The Crapaud Women’s Institute serves BBQ dinners 11 am–2 pm and 4–7 pm in Crapaud Curling Club. The Hampton Women’s Institute will serve breakfast in the rink canteen. Display booths are housed in the Actiplex. Lawn tractor and 4WD truck pulls take place as do draft horse pulls. 

There are Mi’kmaq workshops and barrel racing, pole bending, lumberjack and potato peeling competitions. Pie and cake judging is done in the Actiplex. Catch a performance of Mi’kmaq drummers, dancers in Mi’kmaq Legends (big tent). Take part in a Round Dance.

The schedule of events is as follows: 

Friday, July 28

9 am–12 pm: 4-H Entries must be received
10 am–1:30 pm: Domestic science entries received at Crapaud Curling Club
1 pm: 4-H classes judged, excluding livestock
2 pm: Judging of Flowers, Culinary Art, Creative Art, Photography
5 pm–8 pm: G&G Amusement rides, Community BBQ special $1/ride
5:30 pm–7 pm: Community BBQ (free) on the exhibition grounds 
7 pm: Official Opening with Mi’kmaq Drummers, Elder Prayer, Smudge Ceremony
7:30 pm: PEI Has Talent show 

Saturday, July 29

Gate prices: Adults $8, 11 & under free if accompanied by an adult

7–11 am: The Hampton Women’s Institute serve breakfast in the rink canteen
11 am–2 pm & 4 pm–7 pm: The Crapaud Women’s Institute serve BBQ dinners in the Crapaud Curling Club. Canteen services are also available during the day.
8 am: Gates open, registration for pulls
9 am: Pulls start
9 am–5 pm: Display of booths (Actiplex)
9:30 am: 4-H sheep judging
9:30 am–5 pm: Agriculture Awareness (John Walker building) small animals, poultry, rabbits
10 am–4 pm: Children’s Activities (Green building)
10 am: 4-H Dairy Showmanship, horse, pony, rabbit judging, poultry classes, Lawn Tractor and 4WD Truck pulls, drop off Blueberry pies and Walnut cakes
10:15 am: Mi’kmaq Flag ceremony, Elder prayer and Smudge Ceremony (big tent)
11 am–12:30 pm: Mi’kmaq workshops begin (big tent)
11 am: 4-H Dairy Showmanship, Barrel racing, Pole Bending
11 am–3:30 pm: Food Awareness court, Savour the Flavour (Actiplex)
12 pm: Blueberry pie and Walnut cake judging (Actiplex), registration Lumberjack competitions
12:30–2:30 pm: Mi’kmaq drummers, dancers and Mi’kmaq Legends (big tent)
1 pm: Lumberjack competitions begin
2 pm: Blueberry pie, walnut cake and ice cream sale, judging beef & dairy classes
2:30–4:00 pm: Mi’kmaq workshops (big tent)
3 pm: Sushi demonstration and make your own sushi (Actiplex)
3:30 pm: Salute to Champions (Actiplex mainstage)
4 pm: Round Dance, Retiring of the Flag ceremony (big tent parade)
4:30 pm: Potato peeling contest (Actiplex mainstage)

Sunday, July 30

Gates prices: $5.00 Adults, 11 & under free if accompanied by an adult

9 am: Barrel racing, Pole bending
1 pm: Draft Horse pulls
