Island country recording artist and raconteur Nudie is hosting Legends of Country on Saturday nights at Harmony House in Hunter River. Nudie’s show is loosely based on the Grand Ole Opry format. He will be singing songs by the greats from the era when country was country—Hank, Johnny, George, Merle, Marty, Buck—and telling stories about it all. He won’t be neglecting the female legends, either.

“I play the emcee and all the guests,” says Nudie. He says that he may even take a request or two.

Nudie will be backed up by Bobby McIsaac on guitar and Chris Martell on upright bass who also harmonize.

The Legends of Country Music will play Saturday nights at 8 pm until August 26.

—Harmony House theatre also features a restaurant and bar. Tickets are available by reservation at 902-964-2255.
