Jumpin' Jack Proude: My Memories, My Life, Beating the Odds—John Chute

My Memories, My Life, Beating the Odds and Still Having Fun!
Jack Proude with assistance from John Chute

Jumpin' Jack Proude: My Memories, My Life, Beating the Odds and still having fun! is the title of a book recently published about one of PEI’s most notable (and colourful) business men, Jack Proude. Jack’s friend John Chute assisted with the writing of the memoir.

Jumpin’ Jack Proude is available from Proude’s Shoes in Charlottetown. All profit from book sales will be going to the IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax. Over 500 books have been sold since its release early last fall.

John Chute worked with Jack Proude on this book for two and a half years gathering Jack’s “life story” and related Island history. Jack has a personal and business history with the Island and its earlier years—both socially and economically, through his Rustico Resort enterprise. His reminiscences document a time in Island life through his perspective.
