April 28
Red Shores Charlottetown

Island Nature Trust’s 33rd annual fundraising dinner and auction will take place on April 28 at Top of the Park Red Shores, 21 Exhibition Drive, Charlottetown. The evening will begin at 6 pm. All proceeds further the conservation goals of the group, including the protection of natural lands in PEI and engagement of Islanders in stewardship efforts.

A buffet meal and live music by Max Keenleyside provide the backdrop for viewing the art, crafts, themed service packages, and overnight stays that are available for bidding and raffles. The winning ticket for the year-long raffle of the life-size Great Blue Heron carved by Dave Broderick of Alberton will also be drawn at the end of the evening.

Original works of art by Island artists Richard Vickerson, Joan Thompson and Sharon Smith as well as a limited edition print by internationally recognized artist Robert Bateman are some of the pieces on the auction block.

“Our dinner guests are going to want lots of time from 6:00 to 7:00 to view the hundreds of wonderful items we have gathered for this evening” noted Megan Harris, Executive Director of the Trust.

“This single evening is our most important fund raising event. It generates funds for our extensive programs and natural area protection. We are extremely grateful to the many local businesses, artists and crafts people for their generous support“, Harris continued. The Trust is continuing to look for new and unique donations if you have any you would like to donate to the cause.

The meal will begin at 7 pm after people have had an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and begin bidding on silent auction items. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be accommodated upon request. Tickets are available now by calling 902-892-7513 or emailing This email address is being protected from spambots.
