Islanders are invited to take part in a fundraising event, “Art for Addiction,” at The Guild in Charlottetown. This event is a live and silent auction, for The Reach Foundation. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the bidding of a wide selection of art pieces donated by PEI artisans.
The Reach Foundation is a registered non-for-profit charitable organization. The Reach Centre provides a safe and structured environment in a non-residential setting for youth who have completed a treatment program and are currently in recovery from addiction(s) and/or mental health issues. The Work Experience Program offered, provides support and guidance through life skills, programs, projects, motivation to help the youth build confidence and regain their self-esteem.
Reach Foundation staff assists clients with budgeting, relapse prevention, coping, refusal and life skills training. This enables youth to become motivated, maintain sobriety, achieving feelings of accomplishment and self-worth, while building developmental skills.
