Language Open House

Celebrating its one year anniversary, the Chameleon Language Centre (CLC) in Charlottetown will have an Open House on March 27 from 2–5 pm. CLC offers linguistic services (language training, translation and interpreting) in a variety of languages.

Architectural lecture series

In its continuing effort to reach the entire province, the Institute of Island Architectural Studies and Conservation and noted Acadian historian, Georges Arsenault will present an illustrated lecture, in French at the Acadian Museum in Miscouche.

International Tea House

This is the 12th year that the International Tea House has been held. The event showcases artists and chefs from a wide variety of cultures, with the goal of creating friendships between newly arrived immigrants and Islanders.

Beaconsfield Assembly Dance

Beaconsfield Assembly Dance evenings are Wednesday from 7-9 pm at Beaconsfield’s Carriage House, Charlottetown. No prior dance experience is required. The music is a mix of jigs, reels, waltzes, marches, and strathspeys.

Lung Association Research

Research conducted by The Lung Association (2008) shows that most smokers on PEI want to quit. Eight-two percent have tried, averaging five quit attempts in total, two in the last year alone.

Contribution to Haiti relief
